IMOLA, 2018, 23rd May. The Cefla logo is now on the fairing of the Ducati Desmosedici GP 2018, ridden by Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo. Its visibility peaks during the most exciting race moments when the riders lean into the bends, seemingly defying the laws of physics. The cornerstones of this partnership – signed by Cefla’s President, Gianmaria Balducci, and Luigi Dall’Igna, General Manager of Ducati Corse – are passion, performance and innovation.
Ducati, founded in Bologna in 1926, and Cefla, founded in Imola in 1932, are both rooted in that same unique territory, known worldwide as ‘Italy’s Motor Valley’. A place where the propensity for excellence is enshrined in the DNA of the people who proudly commit to the success of their company every single day. Attaining goals is never an ‘arrival’ but, rather, the starting point for a new challenge to stay ahead of markets and tirelessly evolve towards the future.
The partnering up of these two companies represents a shared bond with a territory that has a long-standing reputation for technology and innovation, a vision that runs along the thread linking Imola and its much-loved race track to Borgo Panigale, the home of Ducati.
“Like us, Ducati has succeeded in reinventing itself over the years, interpreting its customers’ needs to breathe life into new businesses. We are both guided by continuous improvement: we’re focused on nothing less than podium places and share the same drive towards optimal performance”, points out Gianmaria Balducci, President of Cefla.
“It’s with enormous pleasure that we welcome Cefla as a supporting partner in this MotoGP season”, added Luigi Dall’Igna, General Manager of Ducati Corse. “Cefla and Ducati share a great many values. They come from the same area and both set themselves ambitious goals: so we’re confident our partnership will be a successful one.”
